Alryte guys, ive done my research and all and understand the differences between low impedance and high impedance resistors, but what I don't get is what is the purpose of changing from high to low? if you guys could be cool and tell me what the purpose of changing installing resistors is, that would be awesome thanks. also, if im in the wrong forum, just let me know, i didnt know where to really post so i just stuck it here.

I'm guessing you are talking about resistors for injectors.

Our cars run high impedance. Some people upgrade injectors which are low impendance, so you have to install resistors. Simple as that.

For example, installed my CA18DET 370cc injectors into my sohc - had to put in a resistor pack since CA18DET injectors are low impendance (for sale right now too ).

so what i am tryin to get across is, does it matter? is there any performance advantages to having low impedance rather than high?

no performance difference. get the impedance injectors you need.

performance no.

The main reason is (was) usually cost, which isn't as much of an issue since more injectors are readily available as a direct fit application at affordable prices.

For SOHC guys back in the day, there were very few bolt-on injectors available. The choices were basically either $400+ dollar ones, or $100 ones that required doing a resistor box... choice wasn't that hard . At least that's how it was when I was searching for mine, not too many choices.
