My cabin blower resistor melted. I ordered a new one but am concerned that the meltdown was a symptom and not the only problem. I don't want to put the new one in just to have it burn out again. Anyone ever deal with this?

It's actually melted and not just the solder joint? I've been able to fix jeep ones before as they tend to just have issues with the soldering on the board.

The plug going into it and the first 2 inches of wire coming out of the plug melted. The resistor blade itself is fine, but the coupling port is ruined. No fuses blew and no codes were thrown.
