Hey guys, my car's throwing the CEL and it can't pass smog unless i turn it off. The code its giving me is 82, crankshaft position sensor, located on top of the bellhousing of the transmission i believe.I've searched around and thought I can maybe put a resistor on the harness end to turn the CEL off, do i use 100k resistor for this? has anyone tried to do this on their crankshaft position sensor? I don't really have time to look around for another sensor and radioshack's just a mile away so please help.

Why take the time to do that? Its easyier to just change the position sensor. Mine took... 5 min. to replace. Took about 3 stores to find a new sensor but hey, what can you do.
