I bought a 2012 M37X over the weekend, and the dealer was pushing this "Resistall" product really hard. Wanted $500, said it would protect my paint and my interior. I doubt it's worth it, but am curious if anyone has experience with this sort of product

I have zero experience with EnviroGuard.

That said I would find a local, quality independent detailer and pay them to apply a paint coating if you are wanting one. The coatings do help but you will want the paint properly prepped before applying it (cleaned, clay, polish, etc.), especially on a used car. I would not trust a dealer to do this properly or pay their marked up rates. The independent deatiler may come out to the same or a little more but you will know that it was done correctly by a professional.

Opti-Coat Pro Plus Ceramic & CQuartz Finest have been the go-to products for a while. There may be new stuff out there too that I am not aware of.

Because of my cleaning regiment, I have never opted for any coating. I do use Optimum Opti-Seal paint sealant and love the stuff.
