It will usually go out within 100 miles. Sometimes it will go out if you make short trips as it checks everytime you start your car. Just make sure your tire pressure is above 35lbs on all four wheels. Use a good quality tire pressure gauge and don't rely on the ones at gas stations.Pamywyner wrote:Hello. The day I had my car tinted the battery died. Immediately following, the TPMS light came on. We checked tire pressure. Everything seems fine. Would anyone be able to tell me how to get this light re-set without having to go to the dealer? Thanks!
In my first year of ownership the dealer replaced two TPMS sensors under warranty because the light wouldn't go out. Everything has been fine since. I keep my tires at 38lbs when cold.Pamywyner wrote:Yes, my husband works for Goodyear as a Service Manager and did all the things you suggested. He doesn't have to newest software here at home to check further. (he's out of work on a back injury) UGH.. hate to have to pay the dealer. He thought that maybe there was a 'trick' to shutting it off.
