How do you reset the ECU. I just installed a cone filter with MAF adapter. and there is a plug that goes on to the black box I think thats the IAT, so I ran the car with it unplugged for a little bit then got a check engine light, so then I cut two small holes into the filter for the wires of the IAT and plugged it back up and now I cant get the check engine light off.

And when the check engine light came on the idel went to 900rpms and when I plugged my IAT back in it drop back to 750 but the light satyed on.

the easy way. let it go for three days each day you start the car let it warm up to op temp with out hitting the gas the light will go out.

the hard way go to 240sx.org and read a huge artical on clearing codes then try to perform the proceedure by memory.

my vote is for waiting 3 days and let it go out on its own.:D

This is a diagnostic/drivability issue. I am moving it to the "online mechanic forum"
