2003 QX4 owner here.. Car went into "safe mode" (would not go exceed 2300 rpms) and started throwing code P1102 (bad MAF sensor) . Replaced MAF and car running just fine now. However, I cannot get the SES light to turn off. I tried the ECU reset sequence found in the forum and the light did go off initially. After a quarter mile (or so) of driving the SES light began to blink. Had autozone check code again, still showing P1102 (though car is running fine). Any thoughts on clearing the SES light or if other issues still exist?

After "toying" with throttle mechanism, SES light is now off. However, engine is revving much to high during fast acceleration. Normal, slow acceleration purrs nicely.. Any ideas?

Robrasta, check again for codes, 2nd time out. Then hit the coolant sensor, may be starting to fail as coolant will keep engine revving higher. Check also your TPS, for WOT position. The TPS is known for its tendancy to stay open too far, carbon causes this and may need cleaning. Also MAF may be dirty and cannot sense cooling the wire thus more throttle is given. Make sure the MAF sensor is complete and not blocked, check the air filter.
