I think my problem with the Intake air temp sensor is fixed I just gotta fix reset the CEL. I've done a lot of searching on maxima.org about resetting ecu's and stuff but there's tons of conflicting info. I'm turning to you guys..well because you're hands down the best. I'm pointed towards page EC-51 of the manual, but honestly I don't know what the heck it's talking about and it doesn't describe if it actually resets the CEL(MIL according to the manual) or not.

figured it out. I found clearer instructions. You must go through two diagnostic modes. After fixing the problem you must:-Turn key in on position, make sure dash lights all come on but do not start the car.-Turn screw on ECU clockwise till stop...wait 2 seconds.-Turn screw counter-clockwise till stop...wait 2 seconds.-Turn screw on ECU clockwise till stop...wait 2 seconds.-Turn screw counter-clockwise till stop...wait 2 seconds.

Start the car and the CEL should immediately go off if you fixed the problem. Don't believe that pulling off the battery cables will work. Maybe it will over an extended period of time, but it would be quicker this way.
