Hey Everybody,

I'm new here, but I have a few question in regards to the A/C 2.5S. I'm currently looking at acquiring a new car. Either the Scion tC or the Nissan A/C 2.5S. My questions about the A/C 2.5S are:1. Is this a mod friendly car? I.E. Are there lots of CARB legal parts to swap in. 2. Is it possible to change the dash color. I'm not a big fan of that Red/Orange light for the dash. I know for the Scion tC, it is possible to change their orange lights to whatever LED color you like.3. Is it possible to change the side mirrors w/ turn signal into a different color. I know this can also be done on the Scion tC, not quite sure if its possible to do it on the A/C side mirrors w/ turn signal.

Thanks for the help guys.

can't say anything for the scion, cause they don't sell them here in Canada, but the 2.5 is great I love it

modding seems ok, not great, turbo is being developed by a couple places!

being a toyota whore, my family has a history of camerys, corollas, celicas, and my gpa had a supra but i was too young to appreiciate it. Now, my sis just got a tc, and if you want to move once that light turns green, a tc is not the way to go. The tc looks cheaper and feels cheaper too. However, youll save around 5 thousand gettin a tc and a lot of gas, so its up to you. But you seem like you care most about hooking up a car....youll have a lot more fun doin it with an a.c. And for my sake, get an a.c or an s.i before you insult everyone on the road with a tc.

go w/ tc if you want more parts for mods, its cheaper so you can use more money on mods, and there are more parts for mods out now. whereas a/c, you have less money, unless your ballin or handed it to you or save, wait for parts to come out, and only real mods for 2.5 are minor things such as HIDs, taillights, tint, rims, bodykit (not many). however i see a future for the a/c, cmon push button ignition and intelligent key and its the first of its kind

My brothers got a tc, and i gotta say, the ride is totally different. It's very stiff and uncomfortable. Youll definantly enjoy driving the a/c more, and its way more comfortable inside. Theres not too many mods performance wise right now, although the ones out there are very very good (and were gettin a turbo soon!) so you wouldnt be upset with the a/c. As for the turn signals, only the 3.5se model has those, so theres no way to change the color of course. and it's very easy to change the dash color behind the cluster, and should be fairly simple to change the other lights as well.

if you're talking about doing modifications, go with the 3.5se altima coupe. i mean its like 4k more (forgot exactly how much it is more then the 2.5) and the 3.5se has a VQ35DE which could go up to more power then you will ever want. i mean, you could get a 2.5S or a scion TC and turbo them but in the end it'll be just as fast as the stock 3.5se unless you go all out on the 2.5s or the tc. my opinion is save a little bit more money and get a 3.5se. in the future you could get that Turbo kit from Foxmarketing that gave a 3.5se 447whp. plus the altima coupe is way better looking and better built. EVERYONE i know HATES tc's more then anything else on the road. every stock tc i ever saw thought they had a 10000000000 WHP car and could beat the world lol so a lot of people around here hate them for there cockiness in a not so fast car

I think the scion tc looks hot, we don't have that brand in canada. as for changing the dash color and side mirrors, of course it can be done. you swap out the leds for what ever you want.

test drive both then buy what ever you like.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to the dealership to check out the car itself. Hopefully it ain't going to be raining that day.I'm mainly aiming for a L4. Need to save up however much I can on gas. Freaken $4.00+ here in SF.

I totally agreed with that statement. No offense to SI drivers and all, but I'm just not a big fan of Honda.
