wtf man, i deleted that stupid dll (spyware) and now when i got to some pages (such as http://miniclip.com) the page loads up then like 3seconds later res://mshp.dll/http_404.htm steals it

how can i stop that from freaking changing my websites.. i cant surf without that stealing 1/4 of the pages i goto

Get ad aware. Its a neat little program that does a good job of removing ALL spyware and crap like that. Check it out at:

If Adaware doesn't get rid of it, search for a program called "CWShredder" on Google. This will delete any browser hijackers (such as the annoying CoolWebSearch thing on Google) and stuff that changes your first page.

Yeah... cool web shredder only works on a select few spyware strains... but when it does work it kicks a$$!!!

I had one hit me so bad it would change my homepage continually about every 30 seconds or so. It also bombarded me with popups and ungodly amounts of spam. It kept throwing shortcut icons on my desktop for online gamb|ing and p0rn sites... huge pain in the a$$. CWS cleaned it up entirely.

reinstaling IE would of done nothing, but reinstalling windows would have. You probaly need it...

Same here... every 30 seconds my homepage would turn to some stupid online gamb|ing website, and every search result on Google would go to CoolWebSearch pages. CWS cleaned it all up in about a minute, all I can is wow, mad props to the guy who created it.
