Ok I'm wondering after or before the SR(S15) installation will the 240(95) need alot of modification done to it? Like new clutch, flywheel, tires/wheels, suspension etc?

Or should all this be left alone if it's in considerably good condition until the engine is moded further?

and btw has anyone here ever heard anything good/bad of Secret Services? Because i plan on going there for my engine/installation.

To save yourself a lot of aggravation, replace the clutch while the engine is still out of the car. Have the flywheel resurfaced or replace it with a lightweight one if you have the $. My engine looked great, but I chose to put a new clutch in anyway, am I glad I did.

Just check out the pics of the old clutch, it was worn down metal to metal. The flywheel was so damaged from that, I had to pay $70 to resurface it.

Well I will post my opinions:

I would of course replace the clutch, you never know what the previous owner would of done to that car, drift, ride on the clutch, etc. The flywheel I don't think is that important to replace if you don't have the money, if you got money to burn why not? I would just make sure to have it resurfaced if your using the old one.Tires/Wheels doesn't really pertain for swapping in an engine, if you want traction and a bling ride go ahead.Suspension, again it depends on your goal, drifter or drag car or daily driver, it's up to you. but then again this doesn't matter if your just doing an engine swap.

I guess I Would just have the usual tune up of sparkplugs, belts, etc. changed. Have new motor/transmission mounts.

Secret Services is an excellent place to have your swap, from what i hear and seen they are one of the best tuners for the 240's. If I were you I would ask Secret Services themselves for all your questions since they will be doing the work. Just tell your goal for the car.

Just to add to the previous post, lets say i did nothing else to the car except add a new clutch and have the swap done, and i kept upping the HP and Torque on the car. Would it be a good idea to get all the required mods in before i threw in all that extra hp/torque? I'm wanting to say yes but how would the car/engine handle it?

Well depending on what your doing again. If your upping the boost on the stock T28 I would recommend an upgraded fuel pump (stock one can't flow that much), fmic, downpipe and exhaust (to help the turbo spool better), and probably a better radiator (so you don't overheat). The stock suspension can handle it except your brakes might be fading faster and you might not get grip on the ground if your using cheapo tires.

If you upgrade to a bigger turbo than your gonna have to do a lot more, i.e. injectors, engine management, etc.

So I guess your answer is yes if you can afford to get all those extra parts than why not. It won't hurt anything if you just do the simple clutch, dp, exhaust, fmic, etc. It's a lot easier to put everything on beforehand and troubleshoot than it is to put everything on later.

Hope that helps.
