Hi people.

Some weeks ago I began a lucky I30 Infinity '98 user / owner.

Is there some optional / standard equipment or some special? In case of standard / optional please advise the place were can I order this and some instalation guidance.

2. Would you suggest something else I can do with my car?

I would very appreciate your assistance due to absence of any information concerning this car in Russia.

Many thanks in advance and best regards to all people

Car: should be obvious enough

there isnt any CD control equipment available from the factory, but http://www.crutchfield.com should have several models of head units that come with controls that can be attached to the steering column.

do you want performance, looks, different exhaust sound? not the best prices, but you can look at http://www.stillen.com to see what the range of possibilities is. Other manufacturers make most of the stuff for less. they even make a supercharger kit for the I30/maxima platform.

Which motor did you get in Russia for the I30, and which body style? The Nissan Maxima and Infiniti I30 were mixed and matched all over the world for different markets. Odd.

Regardless, Welcome to NICO! I believe you are the first member from Russia.

Wow, that's interesting. "Q30", that's a first here, I'm sure. Is your car front or rear wheel drive?

I pondered this for a bit and the only thing I could think of is that the motor must be the vQ30de. I wonder if it has the VI or not. The States did not get it but some middle eastern nations did, thus why we call it the MEVI here.

That definitely makes it a Maxima platform. There are lots of mods available for that car. I had to ask because the J30 is rear wheel drive (RWD) so there are RWD 3 liter Infinitis out there. The "Q" designation is odd, though. But since you car is RWD, left hand drive and in imperial units it can only have come from the States. Does your car have daytime running lights?

Ïðèâåò!Hey, congrats!

Infiniti is an American brand so there's no chance you can get something different than local I30/I30t VQ30 (the same engine as American Nissan Maxima) This is where you going to get a lot of info about these cars:

http://forums.maxima.org/http://forums. ... /u...s.php

Everything related 4th generation (1995-1999) Nissan Maxima applies to your car. I was going to get I30 as well but got converted by Q45. VQ30 is a great engine anyway. http://waw.wardsauto.com/ar/au...s_11/h ... /G....html

btw, I'm from Siberia, but in Texas (ouch!)Happy driving!

The best thing you can do is to maintain it according standarts of this board. It's especially important in the Moscow's crazy driving conditions. At least they discontinued use of leaded gasoline :)

American 4th gen I30 is a bit restyled Japanese Nissan Cefiro which had serveral engine options and right steering wheel of course. It is not a "luxury" car in Japan while sold for premium in the US. Stripped down and uglyfied Cefiro became American Nissan Maxima.

This is true for all Japanese automakers - they represented very poorly on North American market: no good Toyotas here (Mark, Crown, Chaser, Majesta), very limited Nissans models, good ones are sold as Infiniti, Lexus for big $.
