This is pretty silly but I can't figure out what the FSM is showing. All I am trying to do is adjust my low beams on my 02. The FSM indicates there is an easily accessible - and readily visible - adjustment screw. I have looked several times with a flashlight and simply can't find anything. I did find some sort of what I think is an adjustment, but probably associated with the leveling system. It is a bolt with a white plastic "sleeve" or cover, which is located inside a black plastic cylinder that protrudes from the back of the headlamp assembly, next to the HID bulb socket. I messed with that for a while and there seemed to be no change in the beam adjustment.

I am so confused and my low beams are adjusted at such a low position that it is dangerous to drive at night. The top of the low beam pattern cuts off with a distinctive squared off shape at the top of the beam.

Thanks for any assistance.

Did Nissan continue to install the dashboard low beam adjustment knob when they introduced the F50 model?

It was a standard feature on the earlier Y33 models with HIDs.

Yup - its there. But it doesn't help me. Even at 0 - the highest aiming point - it is still too low.

same problem. behind the headlight assembly there is a philips head screw. Did not try to adjust it though, I was too excited to get the headlight back together after retrofitting an aftermarket ballast onto the assembly saving big $$$.

Hey gemman - where is that screw? Can you post a pic? I can't see anything other than the bolt I mentioned. Thanks
