Could anyone give me a short list of the reputable US based SR sources? I would rather not have to dig through the endlees SR threads to find a couple of vendors. TIA.

thanks for the replies guys.

I know about boost factor and CTC. CTC :ylsuper: in my book. I am just curious where everyone else is getting their engines. If they are west coast, east coast, and so forth. I see a lot of shady dealing that go on over on ebay and i hear horror stories about other unreputable sources. I just wanted to get a good feel for what is going on out there.

Unfortunately I'm going to be out of town this weekend. I literally made plans to leave town about 6 hours before finding out about the meet. That kinda bums me out, because I think it would be cool to see what other people with 240's are into.

The swap is totally in a holding pattern right now. I'm still waiting on delivery of the head gasket, valve springs and oil pan. I got a good deal on them (33% off of list), but the catch is I got them from a big dealer who only puts in a couple of large orders a year. So, his order is on a cargo ship, somewhere in the middle of the Pacific ocean right now. It looks like it's going to be about another month or so until the parts show up.

I did get an RPS clutch and lightened flywheel though. Those should be in the shop sometime this week. So I guess the project is coming along, but my estimation of having it done by the end of March seems to be all too optimistic. Now I'm hoping to have it done by my birthday, which is in the middle of May.

I just picked up my s-13 red top from light speed in houston today.

I had no problems at all engine looks great lots of tech support and lots more tech support to come during swap.

I am near Beaumont so going to houston was close to me.

I would recomend them to anyone in the area.

Dennis (aka d240t2) from Unstable Hybrids is a nice guy. He should get some support too although I hear he is having trouble with his SR supplier so it might take a while to get one but he can get good rbs

Just for reference, its always better to get a motor running and setup before making a recommondation.

I have to agree with H8er on this one. but at least so far they came through onthe engine. no crapp EPA forms and **** like that. where customs is holding your motor. I need to see how their motors hold up because I will mostly likely be buying from them.

Let me put it to you this way. Ia m not lookig for a SR for myself actually. I am a writer and have been doing a lot of JDM articles lately. I work closely with CTC Motorsports and have been noticing that even the most reliable of sources are having trouble getting some of the engines in. I am just doing a little research so I can sound like I know what I am talking about.

Thanks for all of the input guys.

and then you spell wrong in your own post....you're a freakin dumbass, and its no wonder why even the people you think are closest to you, and are treating you nicely say ****ty things about you behind your back.

spelling isnt important on message boards, im suprised with your infinite intelligence, you haven't realized that yet.

im sure you'll only get more annoying as time goes on.

But be assured i do know people who you are dealing with on a daily basis, and be assured they agreed with me about your attitude problem, lack of knowledge, and how you still like to correct people, even though you dont know very much yet.

I agreed with them about the fact you're trying to learn, which is good...but we also agreed that you are a tool, and dont have very good people skills.

Get a life.

Thanks.

Reccommondation? come on that was funny.... Also who are you talking to that's dealing with me on a daily basis... I dont really care what people think of me. I do know however that some of your comments are sarcastic, and sometimes rude to others and I dont agree with that, so I give you a taste of your own medicine sometimes. Have a good day!
