Anyone know of a reputable mechanic or shop in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area? I don't want to go to a dealer for my 1996 J30. Thanks.

I edited your thread title to be a bit more descriptive.

Your J deserves some safe hands. I can tell you from days of scratching my head with my own they can get expensive to diagnose and trouble shoot.

They do tend to come apart really easily on the interior and body, basically everything but the engine.

I'll stick your thread for a week, hopefully you'll get some help from someone near you.

I'm going to need timing belt replacement soon, maybe some brakes, etc. My 1996 j30 only has 93,000 miles, and you're right, the upholstery is getting bad. I painted the outside so the exterior looks good.

Try to find a place that works on Nissan 300Z's
Same engine. and they are alot more common.

Small shop owner here in WPB with a 95 j30t endurance race car, I just put a timing belt and brakes on mine prepping for a July 3rd 12 hr event at Homested.
