Hey folks,

I called up my dealership and they want to charge $76 for a half hours work to reset these monitors on my new wheels. I know it literally takes 2 minutes to do.

Is this something only a Nissan dealer can do, or can a tire shop do it for me?

Thanks!

I didn't get monitors with my new wheels, I can live with the dash light on. IMO don't do it and save $76.

I think that's a good price right? I don't know much about TPMS but I thought you had to transfer the TPMS from stock wheels to aftermarket wheels. Which means you have to unmount tires on both sets of wheels (about $15 each tire), swap TPMS to new wheels (shouldn't cost anything?) and then remount tires ($15 each again). Which is like $240. Or is this not how it works?

If they are simply resetting the TPMS in your new wheels (they are already installed in the wheels) you can get it done cheaper.
If they are swapping the TPMS from your old wheels to your new wheels, remounting tires, balancing, and then resetting, its a decent price.

Thats just $76 to reset the monitors. Not the installation. :tisk:
