My wife has a 2001 I30 with the 1 click - drivers door, 2 clicks - all doors open remote control. Is it possible to reprogram this feature to open all door on the first click? On a Lexus a lot of these features can be configured by the dealer. Does Infiniti have a similar program?

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know if this can be done. Even if it can I would recommend against it. It's a security thing, what if you or your wife doesn't want the person on the other side of the vehicle getting in. I can think of a few instances where I wouldn't want all the doors to open, bad neighborhoods come to mind.

it seems all infinitis are like this. if it was easily reprogramable i would do it. it's annoying to push it..wait..then push it again

From what I know this attempt isn't possible. This function is part of the remote design and not the programming, sorry!-Joe

Uhh, I never have to push it wait then push it again. If I want to open all the doors I just push it twice, no big deal. I wonder if they changed it to push, (pause) then push again on other vehicles. My Infiniti is a 99 I30t.

yeah, to open all i have to do the wait thing. if i push twice too quickly it never catches. maybe i'll jus stop taking passengers.

Thanks for your feedback! I guess there is not much I can do. On my previous car (Q45) I had the timing for the double click down perfectly, but on the I30 I hardly ever get it right. Same on the Lexus GS400 that I drive now, so I had it reprogrammed.

Again, thank you!

Yeah, I notice I can double click my Seattle car a little faster than my Austin car. And they are only 500 or 600 apart in build numbers.

Must be variation in the control unit.

I drove a 2001 I30 while My I30 was in for service last week, didn't have to wait to get the passenger side door to open just like my 99 I30, have you got the remote check out by the dealer?

Remote system for the I-30. There is no way around the one time for the drivers side and twice for the remaining doors, that is the logic built in to the control unit for that system. You can also hold down the unlock button on the remote and the drivers and passengers front windows will roll down on some of the I-30's, depending on the model. On the flip side, the new Q-45, M-45, and G-35 you can go into CAN (central area network) with consult, and perform unlimited access to the remote system, dome lamp operation, automatic headlamps on and off time duration, just to name a few.
