I was having a conversation with a few of the guys earlier... and they had reportedly heard the G37 having atleast some elec issues. Any truths to this at all?

I just read the rev limiter post about cars not getting more than 2k rpm, is that all they could be refering to?

I haven't read about any electronic/electrical issues. And I've experienced no problems at all in 3200 miles of driving.

Ditto, in 1500 miles of driving.

It has been reported this is NOT a problem. Rather, Infiniti says the cars have a break-in program whereby if in the first 1,200 miles, the driver records too many greater than 4K rpm spikes (or the computer reads certain break-in problems), the software will limit the rpm's to 2,500 until things return to normal. I don't know whether this is true or not (I am sure there are owners who have really rev'd their engines before hitting 1,200 miles without this occurring). But, my point is that Infiniti says this is a built-in procedure, not a problem.

I wonder if anyone has experienced this if they have more than 1,200 miles on their car?

I don't know if it's related, but I've had issues with my G37S when in DS (sport mode) when using the paddle shifters. Two or three times it wouldn't accellerate in 1st and the slip light came on. The road was totally dry. It has less than 1,200 miles.

Once, I turned on the car without turning over the engine. The entire center electronics panel was foobar. The only buttons which responded were the buttons to the right of the instrument cluster which control the red text screen in the center and about half of the steering wheel buttons. The touchscreen, cd player, climate control, all that stuff was unresponsive. I tried turning the car on and off and a few things nothing seemed to get it. Then with the car off I locked and unlocked the doors using the fob. Then I turned on the car again and it worked fine. Hasn't happened again but if it happens once more I'm going to raise a stink. (~500 miles currently on car).
