My Old Lady has undergone some surgery. KS, Turbine Sensor(transmission) and Spark plugs have been replaced. Well, she is a beast (beautiful one ) now. No "so-called" dull acceleration, no sir! She pulls strong and with confidence Transmission shifts like my wife's brand new car, smooth and almost transparent even under slow-to-moderate acceleration. Befroe transm shifted a bit harsh (a slight bump 1-2 gears). I could only think of turbine sensor being the cause of it. I will keep my fingers crossed. I gotta wash her, she got a bit dusty sitting pretty in my garage!

That's great news! It's amazing how different a mechanically-perfect Q feels vs. "pretty good."

"Pretty good" still gets you above 85-90% of the cars on the road... but that last 5% gets you to what I think of as almost effortless acceleration.

I've been driving my truck a lot lately (renovating a house - and it runs on cheap gas) and getting in the Q after a couple of days in the truck is like gettin' some after a long dry spell.

I know what you mean by a "dry spell" I still need to reset IDLE speed. It is between 500 and 750 RPM marks, but it is not constantly in between. Sometimes it is lower (~600) and sometimes its higher(~700). So I need to use CONSULT to reset idle properly!

There was/is no 2-3 delay. Before I had a slight bump 1-2 under slow-to-moderate acceleration. It is gone now. Transm shifts a lot better. WOT you cannot even feel shifts (almost) just brute power!
