Anyone out there have suggestions on websites which carry replica OEM Infiniti wheel? Who carries the best quality and the best price, etc.? Are they even worth it? Anyone think this is a bad idea? Why?

I think I'm going to go with replica OEM FX35 18X8 wheels for my 2000 Q45 Anniversary Edition, the OEM's are like $275 per wheel. I've been seeing replicas on websites for as low as $111.95 per wheel with free shipping if you buy 4 or more.

Here are a couple of the sites I ran across. Any feedback on OEM replicas would be appreciated.

How would one even judge the quality of any replica wheel? Most likely they are made in China and built to a low cost standard. Are they stamped with a JWL approval like the original, or tested and approved{for strength, runout, load capacity, etc} by any other independent regulatory association??? Personally, I think I would be patient and search for a good condition set of genuine used wheels...plenty on Ebay and even occasionally right here in the wheels for sale forum.

I had a feeling someone with more experience than me might say that. I was worried about quality for sure.

Anyone know of a "quality" us made replica?

Yes, I've been keeping an eye out on Craigslist and Ebay for original Infiniti wheels to try to save some bucks.

Thanks anywho, I don't like that style. I really wanted the 8 spoke M35s hyper silvers I got but with the spacers and everything we've tried, it won't work.

I don't like the 2000 AE rims at all. I might just have to pay the money and purchase the dealership OEM 7 spoke FX35's :-(

Go with the 94 Q45A factory BBS wheels. It's what I have and I love them! They also weigh less than the wheels you are looking at.

The BBS were good in the day but those are 15" rims, which completely limits tire choices big time and look like bicycle tires these days. I

f you already have the M35 rims they do work, I have a M45 Sport set on my 97'. You just need the right set of spacers, I believe mine were 29mm and they fit and work just fine.

There are some sites out there that sell geniune Infiniti OEM, check out some local places that do chroming, they always end up with sets of rims like this. Going to the dealership and throwing down is crazy crazy crazy, as was mentioend be patient and you'll find them. Don't buy crap, you will never keep them balanced and overall is a waste of money.

Chrome plating if done cheaply will not last long. And once it starts coming off you will have a wheel that will constantly need air. Unless you tip the tech doing the repair.

I think replica OEM wheels are just used wheels that are "Straightened" and half a** cleaned. Make sure you can return wheels that have excessive runout.

Are there any wheel and tire packages that are the same weight as the BBS wheels and OEM size tires for the G50 Q?

I took everyones advice on this and waited and searched. I just got home tonight with a set of OEM FX35 18X8's.

I have not tried to post a pic yet, lets see if this works.
