Replacing wood grain?

I just purchased an 06 M35 and it has the rosewood. Has anyone replaced the rosewood with the brushed aluminum because I like the look better. If so how did you go about it, cost, and how did the finished product look?

There was just a post on this a few days ago. I believe the guy was quoted at 1500 including labor.

If you have the manual, the job isn't too hard to do yourself.
