Replacing Wiring Harness

If i do the n/a to tt conversion but i buy a whole new oem wiring harness for the engine as a just in case type of thing, i'm guessing i match the wiring harness year with the engine year, not the model year? I.e. i own a 92 but the engine is from a 95, so when ordering a wiring harness i specify the year as a 95? thanks guys, i jsu wanted to make sure.
