Hi all and hope you had a great Holiday season and wish a happy New Year. Went to replace the wipers, bought them at the zone as specified in the Duralast book. Brought them home and they look nothing like the ones on the car as far as the connector. Have changed them in the past but only by purchasing at the Dealer. Should have gone back to dealer but thought I must be missing something or why would these different wiper blade companies say they work. Why does Duralast or anyone for that matter say the wiper works when it looks to me it does not. The wiper assembly on the car has two screws on the bottom which come off and then the arm slides right out of the holder. the blade coming out has a receiver on it that is off the blade itself which makes it very easy. It seems impossible to attach the Duralast blade I bought onto the arm of the holder. Am I missing something?

sorry for the question. Went to zone web site and it gives the duralast blade as the one to use for the car, but after putting in the info, states this blade cannot be used on the top of the listing. go figure. Have to use another they recommend.

Quick question do you have the OEM Infiniti wiper arms that have the replacement insert blade setup or do you have an aftermarket setup which requires an actual wiper arm?

Thanks for getting back to me. I think I have the one where you have to replace just the rubber part (blade itself) along with the 2 metal pieces that run the length of the blades. If I could get that part off that attaches to the blade that fits on to the arm coming off the car would be great, but fear I might cause an issue. I can post some pics if needed. Just got back from the Zone with the Rainex latitude blades which they claim will fit the car. Did not have the car with me when went to the zone, wish I had. Can I put these rainex on? And if so, can you offer some suggestions how. Appreciate it.

On mine all you replace is the rubber blade. There are no metal inserts. Replacements can be bought for a reasonable price at the dealer or you can get Bosch ones(I think they're branded "premium all seasons") from NAPA. The price difference is negligible. They're the same part.

Thanks, that is the conclusion I seem to have also. Rainex and all the other brands need to take J30 off their lists because what they offer does not work. I tried every way I could to make it happen and even brought my engineer neighbor over to give it a try and he could not make it work, at least correctly. Thank you for the help. I will mention although should be in another topic, changed the oil with synthetic in the car and maybe its me, but wow big difference in the way the car operates.

Trying to post a pic but not having to much success. Do I need to upload to a site that stores the pics and then refer to it here?

Synthetic oil makes a HUGE difference. I only use synthetic in all my vehicles (and snowblower). They've all been converted (where applicable) from Dino oil. I've used Pennzoil Synthetic, Valvoline Synthetic, Castrol Syntec, but my preference is Mobil1 synthetic. In my opinion it runs the best in all my engines...after all Mobil created synthetic oil.

Create an account on Photobucket and link here. It seems to work best.

like i said i installed these to replace the regular replacement blades that barely did anything, and for about a year they have been on there they dont streak or leave anything behind and work great. i like them and they were definately worth buying.

Just a FYI
The OEM arms are Bayonet style , Not the hook type like you have.
The Rain-X arms don't have an adapter that will work.
I bought some and will have to Fab up a way to mount them.
But first,
I'm going to do some searching for the hook type adapters that will work with the OEM arms.
Its a straight Bayonet with two screws to attach.

Just the blades eh ??
I got the rig with the support arm that attaches to the arm.
Would work if I had the hook type adapter.

Sorry to now say that last fix did not work. Thank God, autozone had some parts to use to make it work. Was able to fix it correct way but even then had to drill a small hole in the adapter to fit over the arm itself so i could attach both screws into place to hold the blade.

heres what i picked up for both of my wipers
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brand-ne ... ccessories

basically converting the original bayonet(which isnt standard) to the "J" hook style. now any aftermarket wipers fit, so i just picked up a set that uses the refill blades so all i gotta do is replace the blades instead of the whole wiper. :D saves money after the 2nd change of the blades.

I'm going to try to fab a pair of those up.
The price is right but shipping is silly. :chuckle:
I suppose its average price coming from the Great white North but if he wont ship two for 10 bux I'm not biting.

Yoda, before you do that, if you have an Autozone near you stop in and look for the manager. They have a box just for wiper issues like ours that contain various connections that work. The manager gave them to me for free after I bought blades and told him they did not work. In the books listing blades at the store, they list the J30 and the blades specific to the model and claim they work. They don't as is but going back to the store, they opened that box of misc. parts and gave them to me. I can take some more pics of what I actually did and put them up on the site by tomorrow if you like.

Old topic I know, but for those of you new owners who get stuck with a J30 that has the wiper structure RIVETED in (no "little screws" as stated above, and no clips like 98% of every other car out there) - go to a Napa auto parts store. They had both wiper rubber blades in stock (each side is a different size). They are NARROW blade REFILLS. None of the competing auto stores in my area had them.
