I have a few loose or broken lug studs on the coupe that I want to replace. I know how to remove caliper and punch out and torque in new ones, but my question is regarding space. My car still has the rotor dust shields. It looks like there will be enough space in the front to get in the new studs, but in the back looks like not. Is there any issue getting in new studs from the back with the shields on?

Looks like there's no space at a glance, but there's enough space. I put NIsmo longer studs with no problem.
Make sure studs are all the way in.

SO I attempted to fix two on the front left side. One was missing and one was stripped in the hole. The studs I got that were the stock thread size were too small cuz the holes were stripped out. Gotta go back to the store this morning to get one and two sizes bigger to see which works. I really hate fixing someone else's retardedness. Got the car for a steal and and it runs and drives great. Funny thing was how much quality parts it had on it but some of the stuff got jury rigged. Fixed most of the issues so far. I spent the last week replacing all the front bushings and ball joints. I was attempting to reinstall the passenger side but the seat for the control arm ball joint was not going into the knuckle. Wasted alot of time trying to figure out what the issue was til I figured out I had an S14 control arm and knuckle/hub on there. Luckily the local yard had an s13 which I pulled the right knuckle from. Of course it was the opposite side from the one with the broken studs, no freebies for me. Now I'm aligned and back on the road but I don't feel safe driving on two lugs on one wheel. Half hour til the auto store opens.

Well the job is done, and I have some good FYI. DO NOT USE DORMAN studs. I bought some at the local store and when I tried to put them in they just spun. I thought the hub was stripped and was trying to figure out if I should replace the hub, drill out the hub and use inserts or something, or just JB weld the suckers in. I was looking at the hub and noticed that the two stock studs left had the knurls come right to the edge of the hub. I did some quick measurements to realize that the dorman one was a couple mm shorter in knurls than the stock one. Ordered a couple stock ones from the stealership and they went right in no problem. So much for aftermarket quality. Here's a pic, proper stock one on the left.

Yeah, some parts you must use OEM or something better cuz it's safer that way. Stud is one of those parts. Glad to hear that you took care of it.
