My 95 Nissan 240SX currently has the 4-lug, I want to switch over to the 5 lug. I have extra wheel bearings and figured I would replace them with new. On the front of the car, the 5 lug hub I plan to bolt on has the ABS sensor ring and seems to be heavier and beefier. I also have the bearings without the ABS ring. Since the car with 4 lug does not have ABS, the sensor is just extra weight, is there any reason why I can't use the non ABS bearing and hubs? Any one done this? Thanks.

if you've got no abs, use the non-abs parts

They "appear" different. Aside from having the sensor gear on them, they appear to be beefier and also seem like when installed will increase the track (stance). I suppose I could remove the ABS gear and just install those hubs on, without the ABS gear.

Was looking for someone who has actually done this.

not much need for "beefier" hubs. only time they crack is when you're getting bearings pressed out of them. only other part that might get busted on the hubs, is where the studs meet the hub.
