Replacing ttop molding

When replace ttop molding do they just pop off and pop back on? Or do the slide in the strip channel and screwed from underneath ?

There is a tool I've seen glass guys use that slips under the molding and possibly rotates the catch piece for the trim, but also possibly a thin putty blade may also be of use there.
The fsm also should provide some help with schematics and possibly tool and/or other solutions...as well as searching that subject.
