One of the transmission coolant hoses that is coming out of the radiator on my 1998 Pathfinder is saturated with Trans fluid. It isn't necessarily "leaking," but the entire length of the hose is wet with fluid and will quickly saturate again after I wipe it off. I went to the junkyard and found a1999 Pathfinder and paid $2 for the same hose to replace it.
My question is do I need to fully drain the transmission to change this single hose(not the entire line), or If I'm quick enough can I just trade the hoses out and be ready to deal with some fluid spillage?

Thank you!

You're fine to just let it (d)rip. :chuckle:
