I used Royal Purple in my old FC (85W) and it was smooth as silk. Any recomendations for a S13? My synchros are noisy as hell and the shifting is a bit notchy, so I want to replace the fluid since it is going to be April before I can get an SR and transmission.

I know quite a few people who are using the redline mt90 and say it's better than they could have imagined. Best 30 bucks they've ever spent. Then again I've yet to hear from another buddy who's switched to the motul motylgear. But that's what Don from PDM recommends. So there are some more options for you.

Royal Purple is awesome, just like redline, they have only one type of manual transmission fluid...called Synchromax....

I run Redline MT90. It isn't a miracle lube or anything but it does work better than just gear oil. lots of people also like GM Synchromesh.

As far as weights go - you meed around 80-90 weight gearoil. Use GL-4 . DO NOT USE GL-5 it will mess up your synchros.
