I'm looking to replace my tires. I live up in Canada, I don't race but do like driving/cornering. I was wondering which summer tires are the best just for daily driving. But I am also thinking about all-seasons just in case I need to drive a while if there is unexpected snow come fall. Let me know what you think (brand, tire, opinion), thanks.

Tire Rack has got Hankook Ventus S1 evos for $139.00 That's real cheap. They're supposed to be good summer tires but I don't know how good they are in the winter. For the price I don't think you can get a better summer tire.

For all season tires there's the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. These are all season tires. They also have a 45,000 mile warranty. These will probably run you atleast $300.00, not cheap.

I have some Goodyear Eagle F1 All season. These are great all around tires. They run about $240.My fronts have about 20,000 miles on them and they still got a good 10,000 left. (My rear tires only lasted 10,000 miles due to a camber problem.) They ride pretty hard though.

The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus and the GY Eagle F1 A/S are going to run you about the same price depending on where you buy it etc....

I recommend the Pilot Sport A/S Plus if you are going with all season tires.

If you are looking at summer tires, the Pilot PS2's can't be beat either.

Other members will probably talk about other cheaper tires as well; my theory, however, is that tires are the one thing you shouldn't cheap out on, as they are the only thing that actually touches the road. Buy a good set of tires from a top tier maker (Michelin, GY, Bridgestone, Pirelli, etc...)

Its amazing how many tire threads I've seen in the last few months. We should probably collect al lthe material, condense it and sticky it and make changes as new tires come out.

I run General Exclaim UHP tires in the summer and have been really pleased with their performance in both wet & dry as well as the amazing tread life. My all season tire of choice is the Bridgestone RE960AS. They are the closest thing I've ever run to an all out snow tire in an all season. Good wet & dry grip as well, good tread life but on the pricey side for some.
