Im in the middle of replacing the turbo on my engine because my old one just took a crap on me. Anyway, is it just me or is taking the exaust manifold off a PITA? Those last two bolts tucked down on the bottem near the turbo suck! Anyway, just venting. I've replaced the turbo before whilst the engine was out, so I know how to do it but was wondering if anyone has any tricks to get to those little bastards better?

This is why i love my SS manifold. Makes turbo swaps so much easier.

no need for those wrenches. It will take longer without them. You have to keep flipping the wrench over to get the angle you need to turn the bolt another 1/8 turn.. lol If you know what I'm talking about. Your arm will get tired!

Do it enough, and you get good at it. I can pull a manifold and turbo in about 20 minutes.

Those bolts do suck though and the SSAC mani is easier to take on and off.

You're stupid Ryan.

The trick I use is to loosen the nuts with a full length wrench, then grab a stub wrench to finish the job (HA. Gay)

At least my stubby can finish the job.

whatever you do, start from the bottom left bolts.
