replacing the timing chain

i was curious if you actually had to pull the whole engine to replace the timing chain, someone told me you had to.

No you don't. You have to remove everything from infront of the engine though. Pulling it might take a bit longer, but it may be a little easier if you had access to a good hoist.

ok. good. my bf came over last night and was helping me out but i havent got very far. i also noticed the pulley doesnt come off that easy, should i find a pulley puller or is there another way to do this?
