Replacing the starter and waterpump

How difficult is the job of replacing the starter and waterpump for a 1991 Q45a?

I know water pump is relatively easy for the mechanically inclined (I don't count myself among them).

Why is the starter bad? Unusual failure item on a Q.

Starter replacement requires raising the right side of the engine for clearance. This requires the vehicle be on a lift or jack stands and stable before jacking up the engine. While not common the starter is an item that sees replacement on the Q.
