Im bout to buy a 40 and its biggest problem is a knocked out driver rear quart window. How do i replace this? If its a perfect snug fit, i can get the window "grease" or whatever that seals the glass and just coat the places where it meats and stick the piece in. But anyone done this before?

well, I have never done this before and I am just making assumptions here but I believe that all that holds them in is what is referred to as "ribbon sealer" made by 3M and available at most parts stores. Again I am assuming here but you should be able to do this yourself if you are careful and take your time. First clean the old sealer off of the body thoroughly and clean the window too. Then you lay a bead of sealer around the window opening on the body and gently set the glass in place making sure it is lined up good. Professional glass installers actually use a gun that heats up some liquid urethane in a caulk tube to set in glass and it is a little better, but if you install the glass carefully you should be alright. Trust me replacing that quarter glass is much easier than trying to do a front windshield.......

everything you need is a your local autoparts store and it's not hard at all as long as you have your weather stripping and such, i had to do the same thing with my coupe when i first bought it, you basically need black tar, very sticky black strips that bond the glass to the car mine came in a orange box, got the stuff from Autozone
