Replacing the lower oil pan, should I use RTV?

I have a pinhole leak in my lower oil pan on my 2005 Murano SL, and I have a replacement oil pan and replacement paper gasket. The gasket is black and has some kind of coating on it, but do I use RTV on this? The guys at Advance autoparts gave me blue RTV, but I don't trust them. Anyone know for sure or have a service manual?
