Replacing the headliner - 2000 Qx4

I am looking to sell my Qx4...but the people who owned the car before me had a DVD player installed in the car. It didn't work when they sold me the car but now i want to take it out due to rattles it has created in the roof. Has anyone pulled down the roof? There are wires that used to be hooked up to the DVD player that are making a lot of noise when i go over bumps etc. I want to get them taped up or remove them so they dont rattle so much.

I would just go ahead and have the whole thing rewrapped in suede or some other kind of fabric. The headliner is basically a piece of formed cardboard nothing special.
