I took off the stock radiator fan and wired the A/C fan to the fuel pump fuse To cool the RAD. The radiator cools the motor fine no problems. But It stays on all the time when i turn the ignition switch on and it gets on my nerves. I turn off the switch and it seems to be staying on like 2 seconds after the switch is off. Any way to wire the fan to a different source so it would turn on wen it needs to?OR IS THIS JUS FREAKING CRAZY WHAT I DID?ANY ADVICE?

The A/C fan is not sufficient to cool the radiator. If you want to tun electric fans then I suggest either Altima fans or something like Flex-A-Lite. Find a relay in your engine bay that has a switched power source and tap into that for power.

Are you sure that it's not just the fan slowing down from momentum after you turn your car off?

Yeah,I think that's what it is. What relay that's the question. I haven't had any problems with the fan or overheating but at the same t ime I know it's not safe at all.

You can go with the Altima fans or just find a good 14" or larger electric that will fit. Buy the Hayden thermal switch $25.00 from a parts store. This switch allows you to dial the exact temperature the fan will come on.

The A/C fan barely keeps the A/C system from over heating I would think you are playing with fire.

Good luck.Rudy
