Hey guys, I'm ordering the KYB GR2 struts for the front, the gas-a-just's for the rear, and the KYB strut mounts with the bearings and boots. Is there anything else I need or should order? Thanks! -Mike

I think you have all the basics required. I'm not sure if you'll want to replace insulators or bumpers, but maybe. It looks like you might have those for the front. Look at the exploded views of the suspension in the SU chapter on pages 4 and 8 if you haven't already. That'll show you all the bits as well as instruction for installation.

There are some posts that say the KYB strut mounts, and pretty much all after-market, don't wear well and can fail early. Nissan mounts are recommended.

Thanks Alan! Does anyone have the part number for the OEM Nissan mounts? What about insulators or bumpers?

54325 is the bearing. You can search for strut bearings on ebay - there is a bunch of cross reference info and pics in the ads. Some OEM parts are available on there - not sure if the prices are any lower though.

54320 looks to be the mount, and I believe 54034 is the bearing.

Last time I did struts, I replaced the strut mounting (lock) nut with a new Nissan part. The new Monroe struts came with a lock nut, but was poor quality compared to OEM. Check your sway bar end links, if boots are torn or cracking, or the action is loose (twist and move by hand), it's a good time to replace them.

Good idea! Should I use Nissan ones or aftermarket?

Proforged. They're a bit more than others, but quality better, and outstanding warranty.
