i bought the car (93 coupe) from the previous owner, and he had the front brake pads replaced not long ago. now the problem is that the front rotors are warped, and so i ordered some power slot rotors for replacement. now do i have to replace the front brake pads again or will they be ok?

If you have the cash get new pads, but if they are new no sense in replacing them. If they are worn out get new ones, but it's not required to change pads when you change rotors....at least I think. I didn't and my car still stops fine.

if you're are gonna replace the pads i would recommend only ceramic or organic pads. Since you got new rotors going with a metallic pad would only eat away at the rotor. The pads would last forever but you will only end up replacing your rotors and drilled/slotted rotor don't come cheap. I would recommend Adaptive One brake pads from napa auto parts it comes with specifically designed shims, inner and outter pads for maximum braking...
