I am in the unfortunate position of not being able to fiddle with my car to see physical details - I'm on a business trip (flew), but need to find and order a part for replacement so it arrives as soon as I am back (and leaving again). Any info would be great!

I have a 2001 Pathfinder LE. The rear high mount brake light has broken off its mounting bolts for some reason, so I figure I need to replace that assembly (minus the pop off cover) because it all seemed like one piece. However, what I don't know is, how is that power cord attached to the car? Is there a plug assembly that will come with the replacement part, to just plug in the replacement part? Do I need to buy a replacement plug too? Or is it hardwired and I'm going to have to wire it myself?

Anyone done this repair before? Can you shed any light on this?

THANKS!!!
