Replacing power antennas.

Just replaced my power antenna (just the mast, the motor was still working...). Funny what 20 dollars at auto zone can do...especially since my local nissan dealership was asking like 300 dollars for the same replacement. Word of advice, if you replace the mast, you're gonna have to cut some of the plastic serated part...once you get around 7 notches or so, start cutting by ones and you'll soon end up with a flush mount (almost) like the original. (I used the universal power antenna replacement mast jic)

yeah, my dad got a mast for mine from a nissan place, it was like $70 or something.

300 is for thwe mast and motor.I replaced my mast for $35 from Nissan

anyone know if they are any good? It's super cheap so I am kind of wary...

I wouldn't trust too many things off e-bay....if you're like me, you'd like to be able to return things when they break, or if they don't fit, which is why I stuck with a local retailer. And Aries, I'm guessing that nissan dealership was really trying to rip her off and make her get the full replacement, when only the mast was broken. I mean what did she know, this car was basically a beater to her.

EDIT: That antenna was the same thing I could get from Advnance Auto for like 45 dollars. And it DOESN'T come with the plug for the nissan one, so you'd end up cutting wires...
