Well i recently found out my brake hard line has a pin size hole in it. So i tried patching it with a piece of hose and hose clamps the other day. I thought it would hold up since i really cranked down on it but it only wound up working for a couple days. It started leaking again today so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to patch up a leaking hard line or if its a hard part to replace if i find one. Thanks.

You can't really "patch up" a Brake line as far as I know. Its not like an exhaust or something else where there is'nt a lot of pressure and safty is involved.

I would just replace the line with another one, While your under there I would replace all the rusted up lines, because they will fail SOON.

You actually can a certain kind of fitting that allows you to do this, I dont remember what its called, however its probably best you replace the line in question... Why is it busted?

It's called a compression fitting. Depending on the amount of rust you can cut out the bad and piece in the new with two fittings, bleed. Of course the best option is to run a all new line and flare the ends yourself with a flaring tool. Good luck.

its not hard to replace, so just replace it and save yourself the headache.

You could weld it if you were very talented/lucky with you're first touch on the electrode. You couldn't weld for more than one "touch" on soemthing so thin.

Unless you're crafty I'd replace it.

An easier solution is to replace the whole brake line. A hot day or a cold day will make a difference during emergency braking.

Which line is it? Maybe I can get you a used part at reasonable cost. Photo helps.
