Thank you for bearing w/ me. I actually did look through that section before. I have the FSM in front of me right now. I'm just beginning to work w/ components that are actually on in the engine recently (have done extensively many other things outside, but I'm starting to learn).
I eventually did find it, but it's kind of hidden (not in it's own section). It's under Timing Chain, EM-11 & EM-14. I skipped this section the first time around because it was labelled Timing Chain - I didn't think that really had anything to do w/ replacing an oil pump. There are exactly 3 sentences that describe the procedure:
EM-11:"7. Remove the following parts:... Oil pump with pump drive spindle." (No diagram clearing showing this)
EM-14:"12. Install oil pump and distributor driving spindle with new gasket in front cover.(1) Assemble oil pump and driving spindle, aligning punchmark on driving spindle with oil hole." (Now there is a diagram)
To my defense (weak, but nonetheless) I do not see the oil pump labelled in any of the diagrams in the EM section. There is the distributor, but I guess the FSM assumes that the person reading the FSM knows that the oil pump is connected to the Distributor. I did not. Sorry. Learning something new everyday.
Thank goodness for Import_Ant's write-up.
