Hey there, I'm new.

I'm going to make this quick, mother ran over something stupid, bullet sized hole in oil pan. All oil drained into the driveway.

Replacing an oil pan seems straight forward.

-Jack car up
-Drain Oil (it's already drained)
-Remove Bolts/Gasket/Pan
-Seal Gasket
-Bolt up pan
-add oil

Is there anything more difficult? I know on some cars it's attached to I dunno, something that makes it more difficult (exhaust??? in the way or something). Is it like that?

If you are just replacing the pan there shouldn't be anything in the way. Get the Field Service Manual (FSM) for your Rogue it shows how to do it. I believe you may need the RTV sealer as well.

They don't seem to have the EM section for the 2012 or 2013 Rogue, but I am guessing it's exactly the same.
Make sure you have a good torque wrench and torque those bolts exactly and tighten them in the order shown in the FSM

Look at parts 11,12,13, & 20. Call a dealer and ask them what parts you would need.

i did this on my 2002 maxima. its an easy job. just dont forget it also involves an oil change.
  • drain oil
    remove oil filter
    install new filter
    remove oil pan
clean the new pan with alcohol & let dry
apply a thin bead of rtv sealant and give it 5 mins to cure.
install pan onto the upper oil pan, but ONLY TIGHTEN THE BOLTS HALF WAY!!!
let it cure for 20-30 mins.
slowly tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern. (half a turn each)
as you near the end of the bolts(when the RTV from the lower oil pan starts touching the upper oil pan) let it sit for 5 mins
now you can bring in the bolts to their recommended torque setting.
LET THE CAR SIT OVER NIGHT
add oil and start the car, letting it sit & idle for 10 minutes. check under the car for any leaking oil.
