So i was trying to do that but after pluggin in the connector to the back of the LED bulb, it doesnt light up. when i test connect both the LED bulb and the OEM bulb directly to battery terminals, they both light up. so the new LED bulb i got is good. but why does it not light up connecting to the car connector?

I notice that the OEM bulb is higher wattage and current than that needed by the LED bulb so it doesnt seem to be lack of power supplied by the connector. I did try to reverse plug the connector into the LED bulb but still no luck..

Anyone with any suggestion? I got an 02 pathfinder

ya, LED H4 bulbs. White color so hopefully will be enough to make up for the fact that they are dimmer than the OEM halogen bulb. They are much cooler and more energy efficient. You can hold one in your hand while it's on without any discomfort.

I just want to test them out to see if they are bright enough to replace the OEM halogen bulbs. Was considering the Xenon HID route but want to try this route first. I know LED is nowhere as bright as xenon HID but i just want to see how they are against the OEM bulbs. No luck so far ;(. much appreciated any suggestion. Don't know if i am missing anything... ;(. Might have to go the Xenon HID way.....

This is what i got btw anyone else is interested: http://www.meritline.com/h4-102-smd-fog ... rce=fghdac

I got mine from ebay for cheaper price but same 102 SMD H4 LED bulb... If anyone else have experimented with LED bulbs, much appreciated your thought too.

You've been face palmed by our resident ricer Innovazn, that's bad. Keep your lights stock, end of story.

Color is nice on the LED bulbs, but quality generally sucks and light output just isn't there.

HID is probably what you should go for, but then again don't discount the stock H4 headlight bulbs, they aren't so bad =p

I know this is an old thread, but LEDs aren't like regular light bulbs. Positive has to go to positive and negative has to go to negative. If you accidentally swap them around, they will not work like on a traditional light bulb. That being said, I think you have to swap wires in the OEM plug for this to be true and for your LED bulb to light up. ... If not, then I am obviously wrong. Anyhow, check that 12v is on the 12v side of your LED bulb and Ground is on the ground side of the bulb.

I gave up on LED headlights. HID will be the way to go for now. LED just not bright enough right now.
