replacing oem 2005 headlamps

New to this forum and I'm glad to have a place to have questions answered. I want to switch out the headlamps in my 05 coupe to projector bi-xenons like the 2006 coupe comes with. My dealer service center say they checked with infiniti and its not recomemded and shouldnt be done. I almost think the guy just didnt even check and wanted to get me off his back with a bs answer. Has anyone switched theirs and if so did the have it done or do it yourself? thanks for any input.

Hi Mike, welcome aboard!

The easiest (and believe it or not, cheapest) way is to buy 2006 headlight assemblies.

I have been researching this for quite a while, and that's the way to go.

Some of our sponsors can get them for you for a decent discount...

Thanks for the info. Is that something I can do myself pretty easily or would be better off having it done. I'd rather pay a bit and have it done right then take a chance of screwing it up myself. I used to work on my supra all the time but with a new car this expensive ( well expensive to me at least) i'm a little hesitant to take the chance especially with the service manager making it sound like id blow something electrical by switching them.

So what's different about the talilights, besides the reverse light? The before and after pics are 03-05(before) and 06+(after)? How much are the headlights?
