I found out one of the side bearings inside the differential is bad. So instead of opening it up to replace the one piece. I found another s13 diff that is 2 years newer.

My question is, how do I easily get the axles up and away from the diff? The piece that sticks out into the flange makes it kinda cumbersome. Once I get past that, I think it'll be a breeze...

Thanks!

I usually just put a jack under the diff and take out the bolts on the ears and the crossmember thingy the back plate bolts too and then jus let it down and kick on it a lil bit and it'll fall down...to me thats been the most painless way ive figured out but putting it back in is the more techinical procedure...I use a long beefy flathead and a helper..it is possible to go solo but alot easier with a helper
