Im replacing my clutch, prolly with 2 other people by ourselves. i know im going to need 4 car stands, 2 or 3 car jacks, and a torque wrench. can anyone tell me what tools i will need to remove the starter, slave cyl., transmission mount (what size socket wrench) ect.... i would like to know what tools, and what sizes if they are socket wrenches before i take on this task. Thanks

For the starter, you need a socket(14mm I think) and some extensions to reach the top bolt.

I didn't have to remove the starter when I replaced mine. Make sure you have extra extensions and a universal joint. Those top bolts are hard to get to.

The last Nissan I really worked on was a Datsun. That having been said, so long as you have sockets and open end wrenches between 8 and 22mm, you will be set. Most of the bolts are between 10 and 14mm.

r u planning to remove the flywheel & replace the pilot bushing/rear main seal too? PITA if u don't have an impact tool or a really long breaker bar...

I couldn't get mines off, but was lucky that the surface didn't have any cracks/rough spots--emery cloth/sandpaper to "deglaze" the surface & i'm still rockin'

it's mostly 10-14mm sockets, and you're gonna want pliers to remove the c ring from the shifter. and i forgot what size wrench to loosten the transmission drain plug, and if you plan on changing the pilot bearing, then a pilot bearing tool wouldn't be bad to have either.
