Replacing my battery terminals

I need info on how to replace my negative and positive battery terminals for my 96 Infiniti I30.

You will probably have to get creative with that. The terminal ends are a horrible design IMO. Usually some standard lead terminals will work with some creativity, otherwise you can get the thin ones like you have now, and should only take little to no modification whatsoever.

Can I just go to AutoZone and buy new positive and negative battery terminals and just replace them with the old ones? The ends of the old positive battery terminal is frayed, and that's why I want to replace them.

You can, yes, assuming it is JUST the terminal connetion that is bad. But if the cable itself is corroded, you'll want to replace the whole cable.

The positive cable definetly needs to be replaced, would it be easy to replace the cable? I noticed the positive cable is much thicker than the negative cable, why is that? and when i replace the positive cable, does the new cable have to be that thick as well?
