replacing ka24e head gasket neccessities

i'm purchasing an 89 240sx with single cam ka24. The owner started it up for me and right away i could tell the head gasket was gone. I've been told that i'm going to need the head milled along with replacing the head studs, not sure about the studs though the milled thing sounds about right. I know i need a complete head kit, including valve cover gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, etc. What else would i need? A good DIY thread link would be awesome.
