Replacing interior overhead light

Car: '95 J30 - Stock - Pearl White w/Tan leather

Is there a secret to opening the overhead interior light fixture? I tried to pry the plastice frame off with a small screwdriver, but it doesn't want to pop loose, and I'm concerned that I'll pull the entire headliner down. Any advice?

blow dryer (in hot mode) and patience. Warm up the plastic and it should pop off with enough heat.
